Kenya Theological Bible College (KTBC) was founded with a commitment to train church leaders and pastors the word of God and how to rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit. KTBC was three years in the making, but we praise God for helping us to open one main campus and three smaller campuses. Already, more than 50 students, including bishops, pastors, and church leaders, are studying God’s word from a variety of different denominations and backgrounds. Our student body ranges in age from young to middle-age to the aged ones.
Our driving purpose is to instill within every student sound biblical doctrine, along with a secondary passion to pursue the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to raise up laborers to join in the final last-day revival scheduled to sweep the world before Jesus returns. Students are trained to serve God in their local church, their place of business, on the mission field, and wherever God would lead them.
In 2017, Pastor David Sell, President of Northern California Bible College in the UNITED STATES, adopted KTBC by leading an effort to help start a fellowship Bible College in Kenya. At the end of 2017, KTBC received a registration certificate from the Government of KENYA which allows us to offer a Diploma Certificate in Biblical Studies. Near the end of 2017, the student body of Northern Calif. Bible College donated more than 1,200 books, numerous computers, curriculum, a public address system and the funding to ship them all over on a container. This book drive was driven by the requirement of the Kenyan government that every college must have at least 1000 textbooks on hand. We are very grateful to the entire family of NCBC for helping us to launch a functioning library.
In 2019, we conducted our first graduation under the leadership of Pastor David Sell and his team from the United States. The graduation was successful with 22 graduands. Most of these students are active in Ministry work. Example of Kennedy Museywa, when he joined the College, he was just a pastor, leading only one Church. Currently he has been ordained as a Reverend and leading about three Churches.
In 2023, we had our second graduation. Among the graduates who graduated that year some are now working with our College. For example, Pastor Kenneth Malongo was one of the graduates, who was soon after ordained as an Overseer and leading five churches.
Plans for online Distant Learning are underway and hope to be in operation by mid 2027. We have just installed satellite Internet and the Populi Student Management System to support our online distance learning module.
The Kenyan government now recognizes KTBC as a legal registered college in Kenya that is also nationally accredited with the Kenyan Dept of Education.
In 2025 International School of Ministry joined with KTBC to provide world-class curriculum, now allowing us to provide a well-balanced curriculum to support our Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies Program.
We have had two graduations so far. A team from the United States, led by our president, Pastor David Sell, comes to Kenya to conduct a biblical conference leading up to graduation day, as well as participate in our graduation.
